Insurance for hiring a minibus?

Yes, there is a set price for the venture but i need 14 people to break even. If i do make a profit, i have indicated that all of this will go to the Community Interest Group that is promoting public transport in that area.

I would make sure it was entirely non-profit with any surplus being returned to those who attended.

OP, have you thought about joining something like the Ramblers Society. A lot of these types of societies will include liability insurance for members. As thenudeone says, anything related to the minibus will be motor insurance.

Ramblers Society is a non-profit/charity and on their lead walks they do have insurance to protect leaders against negligence/duty of care claims

Suppose it depends on exactly what the OP is doing, if he's *just* providing transport then he should be OK, if he's leading/doing more organisation then I'd say he needs liability cover but for a one off event it's likely to be relatively expensive
