Financial Ombudsman taking over a year to sort my RBS claim

Hi all

I logged a complaint with FOS last June as RBS rejected my PPI claim. FOS agree with me :j that it was missold last September but I am still waiting for any formal offer or response!

I hate chasing FOS up just wondered if anyone have any tips or anything to help speed this up?

I just want to know, as its a huge amount of money and would seriously help me pay off debt! (Most of which is with them!):eek:

    Since FOS referrals typically take around eighteen months, I think you may be mistaken that FOS already "agreed" that it was mis-sold only 4 months after your original complaint to the Bank.

    Are you sure you are not confusing FOS simply accepting your complaint referral with them actually upholding your complaint?

    Regardless, as noted, the queue is more than a year long-so you'll be waiting a while yet.

    Yes they have upheld my complaint - they are saying that currently they are in negotiation with RBS over many accounts they incorrectly rejected to set a settlement. They said no further evidence provided by RBS so they are upholding my compliant. Its just waiting for a settlement.
