A lot of cars and holidays are usually on credit. Some of the higher-up's call it an "investment" into your business (which isn't really 'your' business). If you start your own business, some people need to invest in a work van so it's no different they say. Their take on it is that if others 'think' you are doing well from it, then they will be more inclined to buy into it. Those who max out their credit cards will obtain better success from FL when others believe that it is the income from FL that enabled them to buy a new Audi, or to go on an exotic foreign holiday. Many have indeed went bankrupt and got into a lot of financial trouble because of it. Others who don't max out credit cards and take loans out to look the part run the risk of loosing friends and family because they have to pester and promote rather than flaunt (the materialistic items on credit)0

It is actually quite scary and sad, how many people fall foul of keeping up with the Jones's in this company.
As my dear old man used to say, all fur coat no knickers..
Look expensive to 'trick' people into believing that you are successful. Lovely way to live...0 -
It is extremely scary the level of cultish behaviour that goes on at diamond / sapphire level, from experience.
The majority of new distributors are those on low salaries, single parents, and people who are in a better sense of the word - 'struggling' or just keeping head above water and are seeking extra income to alleviate the pressures of daily life. They know this, yet were expecting new distributors to regularly attend seminars (at £20 - 30 a time, not including travel costs) on weekends and to purchase training materials (DVD's, audiobooks etc. £10 - 30 each) and one I saw; the complete network marketing lessons set was £60. If new distributors weren't selling a certain number of case credits or boxes each month then it was a "training issue" and were encouraged to purchase the monthly subscription tools offered by FL among other things.
Then before hosting the parties, ensuring that the new distributor had a good number of products to showcase around the house in an un-obvious manner. The line goes something like "Why buy from boots or Holland and barrett when you can buy from yourself". You would earn 5% on all sales under your 'link', so paying £200 worth of products from your own link for personal use would mean you'd have £10 deposited into your bank from Forever Living at the end of the month.
All these companies are being driven more through social media because it allows better un-provable impressions to be made. Holidays through credit cards or loans from new distributors brain washed enough to believe they were on the path to their dream, posting their pictures while on holiday up on FB, thanking 'Forever Living' for the opportunity in a bid to get more people signed up. If you don't deceive and exploit the family and friends that you will eventually deter from your life, then you eventually wake up after a year or so, and see that the only ones making any money are the company and high up's, while you're at a loss, and with possible debt too. & when people speak about their experiences, this company, like all the others then have the audacity, on a large stage, to disrespect those who pumped money into this company for a very long time, including their time and effort promoting it, to then claim it was 'their' fault and claiming that all those in attendance (thinking of becoming a distributor) can make it with hard work, claiming it's not a get rich quick scheme to please the legislative measures placed upon them, and attempt to legitimize it's authenticity.
Sorry for the long rant, but I hate all network marketing companies. They exploit the poor and vulnerable, and I will not rest until I see them all abolished0
