British Forces Overseas In Germany - Court Attendance

Hi
I have just now received my fob off letter from Abbey talking about they are responding to my complaint and they will be in touch in another 4 weeks, is this common practice?
Do I need to send another letter threatening court action or just go ahead and proceed filing my claim on the MoneyClaim website, it has been over three weeks now?
Thirdly, I have been reading up on if it goes to court and many people have posted threads relating to "Allocation Hearings" and having to attend for 5 minutes. Well being the fact that I am posted in Germany, does this mean I will actually have to pay for flights, car hire etc or even pay for the petrol and drive back just for a 5 minute hearing or is there any special dispensation those people overseas actually get - ie do we still have to attend?
Many thanks, your help muchly appreciated as soon as possible please.
