So many different factors determines the outcome.
Everything will settle down in due course. No longer pile em high and push the offers out the door as fast as you can. As was the course with Northern Rock and HBOS used to do.
MMR was well publicised. So shouldn't really come as any surprise. Still early days in terms of getting systems running fluently.0 -
Comparing Halifax to Clydesdale is like comparing a Ferrari with a Fiat....
There are pros and cons of each, Halifax for example are heavily technology reliant, meaning service is good but flexibility for cases marginally outside their criteria is virtually non existent. Clydesdale have a far more human based underwriting approach and therefore are good at agreeing sanctions on cases with the odd curveball, but their service is terrible.
8-10 weeks as an average for Clydesdale to mortgage offer, 4-6 for Halifax (usually less if no problems). Massive difference.I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Clydesdale have some very good Relationship Managers (BDM's). Having a good Relationship manager on side can really help with Clydesdale. I use them alot because they are flexible with criteria.I am a mortgage adviser - MSE does not check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
