And a friend just paid me back £200 so I'm doing well today (home for lunch so thought I'd pop on and say hi!)
Debt free, moved, got new stuff for the new flat - got everything I wanted and need - now just saving.0 -
Hello All
Am back at work today (dosed up and still coughing but feeling much better).
Not the best DFW weekend (hence no posting). Saturday OK (no spends) but then felt really despondent yesterday (often happens on a Sunday) and ended up getting an extra food/drink shop (including ice cubes for crying out loud) and then a pizza delivery for all in the house (5 adults) even though I had made a nice curry!
I have on my mind the fact that sons motorbike has gone in for repair quote today (it will be hundreds of pounds) and we also imminently will need to pay a deposit for his university accommodation (which will also be hundreds of pounds). This just makes me feel like what's the point even trying - very dangerous.
Anyway, it has really helped reading your posts (especially Foxgloves as we are also trying to become good at managing money rather late in life - I can certainly imagine how good it must feel to get a zero bill and will hold that thought). I am paranoid about posting that our debt has not gone down or worse have increased. I need to accept that we may have some downs as well as ups along this journey but we have to keep on trying.
Right, rant over!
Today I have had a lift to work, all meals will be from home, washing is on line, spread sheet will be updated.
Hope you all have a good day. Best wishes with your interview DNMS x0 -
