ukcps parking fine at leeds university central village

PCN at Leeds Central Village
After arriving to collect daughter from uni at the end of her 1st year I collected a permit from the reception which allowed me to park on the car park outside the accommodation block. This permit specified that I was allowed to park for an hour but the permit had to be returned to reception before I left otherwise my daughter would incur a charge on her student account. After 30 minutes of loading up the car I went to return the permit at reception and when I returned to my car approx. 2 mins later UKCPS had slapped a PCN on my windscreen asking for a £100 for not parking with a permit. The people behind reception can only suggest I ring tomorrow to clear this up

As ever, this is covered in the sticky thread at the top of this parking forum - which is why I wrote it. Sadly, last year it got silly as we could not keep up with all the ''help I have got a private parking ticket, what do I do?'' threads so I wrote a sticky thread BEGGING newbies to 'read these FAQS first'.
UKCPS almost always just cancel when you take it to POPLA stage. The NEWBIES thread tells you 'how to win at POPLA' and explains what that is...
Shocking that the Uni is so dumb as to allow UKCPS to bother students & parents. UKCPS are notorious but also will cancel when they are faced with one of 'our' POPLA appeals!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
