Unwanted add-on insurance

Just realised we've been paying £3.99 every month, not sure how long for, for an add-on insurance we knew nothing about and have absolutely no paperwork for. It goes out to Budget (Avon), and have found others saying the same, that it is an add-on when you take out insurance with Budget. Managed to get credit card to cancel it, but not sure if I can reclaim it or not, and if so, who from, Budget or Avon?

I have just realised I have been paying £4 a month, looked through my bank statements and found them going back to 16/10/12,
I first spoke to Avon insurance who said they would stop payments being taken out straight away and then put me through to RAC insurance who the personnel insurance was set up with by using a pre ticked box,
after making it clear I was unhappy with the process In which they set up a personnel accident policy they agreed to send a cheque for the 21 payments I had made, thanks MSE for the info

I have just been in touch with Avon about them taking £4 a month for 19 months without me receiving any paperwork after telling them what I thought of thm they put me through to a really nice guy at LLoyds who instantly refunded all my payments many thanks Kevin may all call centre help lines be as helpful as you
