I really cannot see the point of keep filling in stupid forms and stupid like and shares and retweets when you don't win. Waste of time.

One less means one more chance for me
Not for everyone, this comping malarkey. Those who stick at it would love to win but never expect it. Always just a bonus really...
Jx2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -

It is sometimes hard work for seemingly little return.
You do seem to have some wins in your sig though ?
I love the buzz of winning even the small stuff and when a biggie comes along that is just amazing !
Friends often ask how I do it but don't seem to have the inclination to stick at it. Guess it's just not for everyone ?0 -
well i wish my randomly pointless form filling reaped in such rewards as your signature
give up if you want -you won't see anyone saying 'i wish there were more entrants'0 -
A few years ago I used to win fairly regularly. Nothing huge, max was £250 one time, but mainly makeup and toiletries. I spend as much time entering now as I did then, but haven't won anything for about 6 months. I keep on trying as I know in most competitions it is purely down to luck and I have hope that one day... that ITV win will be mine! lol
I think 'comping' is much more well known now and not so frowned upon as something losers with no life do! Hence more people enter, your chances of winning go down, it's harder to win. But at the end of the day it's just a bit of fun - bonus if you win!0 -
I have not had a good half of 2014 for wins, but i also havnt entered as many, when i lose hope i think of the lovely unusual money cant buy wins i won last year, and my trip to hollywood..if i wasnt entering i wouldnt of won!

the stuff in my sig is old. I have not won anything for a long long time. I never win anything big either. It just gets me downs. i love this hobby because i love the fact there are a group of people out there who post comps and answers reducing their own chances just so as that everyone may have a better chance at some extra little treats in their lives. all whilst not knowing each other, there is so much anonymous kindness in this hobby and that needs to be so appreciated!!
i love being part of that community and enjoy the comping itself and winning is a bonus, as is being messaged out of the blue saying you have made someones day as they won from your post, someone once won a cruise from my post and it made me cry as they wouldn't have been able to go on holiday otherwise and their kids were running round the house jumping for joy. it's about that element too.
If it's not for you then move on and take up something else - totally cool. For me it's about knowing that no matter what sort of day i'm having, comping could potentially change it at any moment for the better.
Thanks to all who post comps. Best of luck to you.

If comping can make you miserable and complain-y, then don't do it.
Those of us who are happiest at comping are not necessarily the ones with the most wins, but those who see this as a fun hobby with the odd prize as a bonus.
I'm sorry, but I don't have sympathy - just realistic enough to know that comping isn't for you, if you are impatient about winning.
Life is something to cherish - why waste time moaning about a hobby, instead of finding a new one that you enjoy?! Life is too damned short.0 -
Beat to stop then if you don't enjoy it. I have only won twice in 6 months and only one prize was much use. I will stop when I get too bored I expect."'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life
