I am in the last month of a 12 month sim only deal with three.
It's 9.90 a month for 600 mins 1000 texts and 1gb data i think.
I used billmonitor and it couldn't find a better deal, my average minutes and texts are around 300 each and my data 500.
My phone is an old wildfire s and it plays up slightly and is scratched but I haven't really seen any other phones I like, they have all got too big IMO.
I will add the three signal reception is often in/out especially when I'm at work, but the other networks might be just as bad, I wouldn't know without trying them.
The only PAYG I see that is cheap is three again, but for the price I'm paying now is it worth the hassle of topping up etc you get with PAYG and do the top ups only last 30 days like they used to?

If it does everything you need for under a tenner a month, you can't really argue in my opinion.
Virgin Mobile's generally worth a look as it uses EE signal, but if your handset's locked to 3, you could just be making work for yourself.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

Your better off on your contract tariff as just the 300 minutes alone at 3p a minute on 3 Payg would cost you £9 a month .
The top ups on 3 payg dont expire providing you make a chargeable event.EG : make telephone call, send text or photo message, access content off the internet or any other Three Services for which a charge is made) every 6 months.0 -
Stay on your current plan and just buy a new phone.
You can find a new phone with a screen under 4 inches for under £100 that is better than your current Wildfire. And it'll be much faster as well.
Something like the HTC Desire X maybe?0 -
Thanks maybe I will just buy a new sim free handset then. I was considering the galaxy fame but I can't see that it's a lot better than what I have. I like the fact the wildfire s fits in my hand just the right size. It is only a 3.2 screen but can see most things on it when web browsing.0

To be fair i'd say that a phone under 4" would be fine as well as its not too big, still feels good in the hand and they usually have much better spec.
I wouldn't recommend the galaxy fame. And I wouldn't be put off by marginally bigger phones. Go down to a phone store and ask them if you can hold a 4" or less phone and you should see that its not too much bigger and is just as comfortable as the wildfire.0 -
If you can't find a better deal then just stay as you are.
It's not rocket scienceOwing on CC £00.00 :j

Your current SIM Only deal with three gives you free 4G if you are in an enabled area and have a 4G handset.
Have a look at the EE Kestrel a 4G handset with decent spec for under £100 and can be unlocked to work on any network.0
