After sending in my bank statements, utility bills etc
3 times to prove my address (which is where they were posting the letters to) I finally got tee'd off with them and sent them the letter shown below telling them I was taking them to court unless I received my payment within 10 days.

Dear Mr Clark,
RE: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ACC: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Further to your letter dated xx-May-2xxx stating that we would be receiving a cheque from you within 20 days AND the several letters demanding proof of our address which we have responded to three times, the final response by recorded delivery.
If I do not receive a satisfactory settlement of my outstanding claim which you have accepted within the next 10 working days I shall have no alternative but to issue a summons against you in the County Court without further reference to you.
Yours sincerely,
MickyMouse

Well guess what happened then, I received a letter telling me they were going to send my cheque withing 20 days. I ignored this as I have had these several times before:p Then today (within my specified time frame) I received a cheque for the full amount!
