Hi...my CTC payment was cut this week by over £40.
No obvious reason, no letter, no nothing...I have checked my provisional award notice and confirmed what I should be getting but I have been under paid this week.
I'm a pensioner and a single parent. I run on an incredibly tight budget but today I had to leave food at the store today because of insufficient funds when I tried to pay by card.
The embarrassment was bad enough, but what the **** are we going to eat this week????
Does any one know if the CTC department has a problem with their system? What's the fastest way to resolve this?... and where can I get food for nothing??
Help please?..Any CTC staff online?:D

No one off payments....my provisional tax credit award was dated 5/5/2014 and covers from 6/4/2014 to 5/4/2015 and has been the same each week.
Payments up until 2/6/2014 were the same....payment this week for 9/6/2014 is down by £39.29........but why?0

No, not until next year....and it is my tax credit but should be more. Anyway I rang them today. What a nightmare:eek::eek:
I think I might start communicating by letter because they seem to have a load of figures that I certainly didn't supply, which bear no relevance to any wages I have had, but they assure me that they're right:mad:
It looks like their error as I haven't been told about any reduction even if there should have been one and with luck I might have an emergency payment from them until we get it sorted out.
And to cap it all.. my award pack was posted last week;)..allegedly;)
 OH JOY:rotfl:0

An update to my last post just been paid my Tax credits for this week and it has been reduced by a further £8.00. Does any-one know if we receive different amounts each week depending on how much we earn't the previous week as I am assuming with all the systems now being live could our Tax credits differ each week?0

If your renewal pack has been issued they will have got your 13-14 income from the tax office and used it to re calculate your payments. If you earned more in 13-14 than in 12-13 the payments will go down.
If you end up ringing them you can give them an estimate for this year 14-15 to see if it makes a difference.
Its meant to help you, as if you're due less this year, then when you renew there might not be much left to pay you. So they recalculate earlier to avoid you being overpaid.Anything I post on here is my own personal opinion, and quite likely not the view of my employer. My knowledge may not be up-to -the minute current, but I'll give you the best I can.0
