Need some help / advice
Just been left with a nasty vets bill of over £3k after my insurance claim was declined as a pre existing condition. Does anybody think its possible for a Dobermann to walk 5 miles a day for three months with a partial Cruciate rupture?
Surgery was eventually required but. I don't think it's possible to walk those distances on a daily basis and as such shouldn't be declined.
Unfortunately my vet won't help. Any ideas who I can contact for advice?

Why won't your vet help?0

An insurer won't normally cover a pre-existing condition. This is why those of us with pets are pretty much tied into the same insurer for life...0

My terrier cross has had a cruciate ligament rupture , it was repaired recently and I would say that right up until his surgery he was eager to chase his ball , so eager we had to hide it .
He never once gave any indication of pain even though it must have been dreadful.
£3k is a lot op- my pooches so far has cost approx £1300 .
We will have to stay with our insurer [Argos] but to be fair they have been great.
If we ever have another dog I would probably insure with petplan though as the vet we use deals directly with them. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
