Experian Representatives Help Needed!!!

Options
I cannot believe a simply task of updating my current address on the Electoral section of my credit report could be so difficult and neither Credit Experian or the Electoral office have a clue how to resolve it!!!

I contacted Credit Experian and was advised that my current address was only registered up until 2013 and the system would be updated. The system was updated and I had to wait 24hrs for this to show. I checked my report and noticed that an entirely different apartment block had been added to my address.

I contacted Experian and advised them of this however instead of amending the address they had to remove it altogether, once removed so did half of my accounts on my report. Experain managed to retrieve my accounts and re added my address details again however it still said registered up until 2013. This somehow managed to duplicate all my searches and accounts and the address had to be removed again.

For the past month I have gone back and forth between Credit Experian and Electoral office, who are merely placing blame on each other. Experian have said the problem lies with the Electoral section the Electoral section have said my address is correct on their system and the problem lies with Experian.

I have made several enquiries and complaints and nothing has been resolved, my main issue is I am close to completion on my house and if the bank run another check and I see I am no longer registered I'm doomed:eek:

Could you get some documentation from the council to prove you're on the register? CRA data is increasingly seen as unreliable (unfortunately not by lenders) and this is just another example.

Yes I have requested a letter from the Council asking them to confirm that I am on the register and they have agreed to this.

I am really hoping this can be rectified ASAP, as I'm so close to finish line and don't think I could handle anymore delays in purchase. FTB nervous as heck.

Just additional info I have lived at my current address for 6 years always been registered on the electoral roll and it has always showed on my credit report. I remember checking my report a few months ago and it said I was registered so between then and a month ago, I have no idea what has happened.

Will leave it with you James.

Odd that it takes the intervention of someone like James to sort these things? Would be better if Experian trained their normal staff properly in the first place.
Still rolling rolling rolling...... :) <
