hi i have three credit cards and they no longer provide ppi so i wondered if there was an insurance i could take out in case of unemployement thank in advance

    Yes, it's called income protection.

    Income protection covers accident and sickness but you can get plans which either combine this with unemployment or you can also get standalone unemployment cover.

    OP when did you receive notice of termination of your employment>?

    i havent recieved any notice of employment termination but i ni works not good and i no that most of our work will be working away and i cant work away due to family circumstances if i refuse to work away i will be fired would that make me voluntarily unemployed in the eyes of insurers ? and therefore not covered i no i asked earlier but im new to this and couldnt find my post or replys thanks for your help

    But there is usually a clause that the insurance doesn't cover you if the redundancy happens in the first 90/120 days of you taking the policy out or if you already knew it was going to take place.

    ....If your employer offers you work and you do not take it I don't see any insurer paying out so you waste your premiums.
    Just my opinion - maybe a better way to do this would be to reduce your outgoings now and try to reduce as much as possible on the cards - see the debt free wanabe board about snowballing your debts.
