Returning Faulty Item (no receipt/packaging)

Hello everybody,

I bought an FM Radio Transmitter from Asda a few weeks ago when I got my new car, as it doesn't have mp3 capabilities. It only cost about a fiver but it stopped working a couple of days ago.

It still shows the time but it had a bright blue light which no longer appears to be working and it won't switch on. I've tried changing batteries, running it off my in-car cigarette lighter but it isn't working.

How would I stand on returning the item to a different Asda store? I don't have the packaging or the receipt, as I figured it would do me for a couple of months at least, until I install an AUX in the car. I think it might be an Asda only brand as I've never seen it before.

Thanks in advance :)

If you don't have the receipt then it's anyones guess whether or not they will take it back. They have the right not to.

If you have no proof of payment, its unlikely they would repair, replace or refund.

Keep all receipts in future. Put the receipt in a the box, keep the box for the warranty period. If you do this with everything yu will know exactly where each receipt is.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

I often do with larger purchases but for the sake of a fiver, I didn't want to add to an already enormous folder.

Not a problem, managed to fix it myself anyway.
