Buy to let remortgage - searches?

Hi we are currently remortgaging our house as a buy to let. Today we received a letter from the solicitor asking for money for searches - do we need searches for a house we already own?

    Yes. Or rather, the lender needs up to date searches.

    Check with the lender.

    Many may request local search indemnity insurance in lieu of search on a remortgage, but it will depend on your lender's CML Handbook requirements and your solicitor is best placed to be able to see what they are...
