car loan PPI?

hi, I bought a car from a car dealer back in 2004, they arranged the finance. I don't have any docs with info on this loan anymore. The dealership have gone bust so can't ask them .... how can I find out who it was and to claim PPI??

You make a complaint, not a claim, to whoever sold you the PPI,
Even if it wasn't the dealer, the documents will probably be well gone and you would also need proof of a miss sale.
Are you even sure you had PPI.

Doesn't sound as if you have any, so I would just move on,
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

The car dealer was the one you complain to. However, they no longer exist and as this was pre-regulation you do not have access to the FSCS. So, its game over unless it was an own-brand motor finance (i.e. same name as car manufacturer)

What has this got to do with reclaiming bank & credit card charges?

10 years ago? Surely you've paid the car off by now. How can payment protection insurance help you now?
