How many pages are you thinking about ? and how many products will you want in the shop ?
Checkout pages can be done quite easily if you use the standard paypal scripts and carts.
The fact that you want logins etc will mean a database with probably mysql/php scripts.
That isn't too much of a problem but what are you going to do about hosting ? Are you looking for someone to quote for that also ?

Sorry if there are a lot of questions, hopefully it will help you to make the specification a little firmer.
  • My son Michael is a web site builder, he is very reasonable as he is doing a degree and it helps him get throu university usual size web site from £350.

He has done many for local businesses and can send you any information and show you sites already up and running and can provide references from

Have a look at www.templatemonster.com Depending what you want they are a cheap option but also very professional. TemplateMonster sells sites either non-exclusively and therefore cheaply or exclusively but more expensive. Search for the e-commerce templates.

also take a look at www.123-reg.co.uk, The instant site builders good as you can design your website yourself in 5 easy steps, you have a choice of over 300 templates to choose from and it looks professionally done, u even have a flash intro, I've used the instant site myself, i think it costs me about £35 a year and is well worth the money.
  • Just a word of advice... cheapest is not always the best way when it comes to Web design.
