Freezer icing up

Hi,
We have a 'Totally No Frost' Indesit fridge freezer. We've had it several years now, and had always worked perfectly, up until a month ago.
It's started building up ice on the freezer floor. It has a separate thermostat to the fridge and we've always had it set on 'Eco'. It defrosts itself, and it still does, as I can hear it.
We cleaned the seals, and the door is tight, but the ice just keeps building up. It isn't frost, it's a clear thick ice. The rest of the freezer, and draws are ice free. Any ideas please?
Thanks,
Candy.

Same thing happened to me, it was due to a blockage in the condensation drain pipe.
When they self-defrost the water which melts off the elements is caught and drains through a pipe, typically into a little container sat on top of the compressor motor at the back where it is left to evaporate off.
In mine it looked like some jam or something had got into the pipes, probably from the fridge and had formed a gel that blocked it up. I pushed a wire down from the fridge drain and that seemed to clear it.
Obviously make sure you unplug the fridge before checking it, cleaning pipes etc.0 -
Thanks alot, my DH will check it.
