i had a similar situation caused by the side effects of medication to treat depression in so much as I was out one night when I was overtaken by tiredness and so stopped at a Mc D's and fell asleep when waiting for a coffee to cool. this generated an overstay of about 90 mins
After the letters got more threatening, I decided to ignore my (now) ex's advice to ignore the speculative invoice, fired off an email stating a list of the side effects of my medication, told them that any further attempts to chase it would be classed as harassment and waited.
few days later they rolled over and said no further action would be taken.
I recount this only to show that for genuine medical grounds it is possible to get these things over turned and offer you encourangement. I do NOT recommend ignoring any correspondence (as I was ncorrectly advised to) and would specifically request you follow the forum advice, as you've indicated you will0 -
So just for clarity (forgive me I am really unsure and quite nervous about this)
I have completed the stantard template letter JUST filling in who it's to & the PCN REF and I am about to send it (in the post as the only email I have is general information) IS THIS CORRECT?0 -
yes , template letter , by post , with a free certificate of posting at the post office (not recorded)
expect to be refused so then its popla and a much longer appeal letter0
