Think it was around £30 when i got mine - a year later and it is still in near as new condition. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
unholyangel - I actually think that's the 'puppy' crate we have for her.
I don't think I'll leave the dog in the building while I'm not there - that's asking for trouble! We're going to try and eat outside where possible but definitely looking into doggie sitters and possibly in the evenings if it's really cool popping her into the car for an hour or so if we eat dinner out (that would only be if it's too cold to eat outside - ie the car should be cool, and with regular popins to check she's ok!)0 -
Just remember to take some old throws/sheets/blankets with you. Rusty used to come away on holiday with us at least once a year, we ad one with him at the beach like Anglesey and one by ourselves abroad.
He was a nightmare with the beach, used to make a noise that sounded like 'Nan, Nan, Nan, Nan'' as soon as he got the smell of the sea and then wouldn't come out ! The first thing he used to do when we got back to the cottages we stayed in was jump on the sofa and fall asleep ! You will save yourself a load of aggro with having to de sand the furniture if you cover it up.
Have a great time, it is lovely to see the fun on their faces on the beach, miss it so much now he has gone. A trip to the beach just doesn't seem the same anymore.0 -
All my dogs have loved the beach. They could totally exhaust themselves playing in the sea and chasing the seagulls and digging in the sand.
I think there is no more heartwarming sight than a happy dog running free on a beach with sea water and sand in his fur.0 -
Well we are back and it was fantastic
So proud of the dogs, especially the youngster
It worked just as I thought, wore them out on the beach 1 st thing, then left them with a new chew in cottage while we went out
They were still fast asleep on our return,
Digging, chasing, eating dead starfish!, jumping over sea walls and lots of swimming0 -

Brilliant news !
You have made me jealous though, miss those times with Rusty, a total beach bum. Cant do it with a cat, which is a sad thought. He used to pick up huge pebbles and want them throwing for him and then dive into the water to pick it up.0
