I too was surprised at the charmless response from Jethro.
He asked a question and was give some reasons and ideas how to work it out. However as he has already made up his mind then I'm not sure why he asked the question and then was so disparaging about the answers. Just let him get on with it as he's not worth the effort.

It isnt scrap yet because ive decided to heat it with gas instead of replacing the electric element
I'll cost it over a few months see if it cheaper
