Right, that's it, enough of my jealousy, I'm off to a PYO farm next weekend
Gorgeous cake PD, coffee and walnut is my absolute favourite. I hope you've put walnuts in the sponge too - can't have too many walnuts!
Yep in and on it. 4 layers and loads of coffee buttercream (purely so I could cut the tops off the cakes and eat them, just to make sure it was ok )'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0 -
Sometimes Sainsbury's discontinue certain brands of crisps due to new packaging, weights, etc. So I stock pile then. I've had 6/14/24 packs down to 20p in the past. Good thing is that they also stay fresh well past their BBE date.
Lidl also have their Crusty Crock  range on half price every few months. 24 pack down to £1. Currently on my last pack.
:rotfl: I think you all know what I read there. Sorry need to retrain my brain! Thank you all for the kind comments about the cake. One day I hope we'll have a meet up and share a slice 'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0 -

Good afternoon all.
Had to take some time off work this afternoon as I had to take DH to A&E at 2am He has an infection in his lung but has antibiotics now so should be fine. He was very worried but suufered chest pain for 2 hours before he woke me:eek:
It never ceases to amaze me how the folk on here think like me although my money saving ways are pretty tame to some of you but I am learning.
I am of the 10p per wash etc but would never really mention that outside the family.
Remember when we got the cadburys treat size stuff well its now OOD and I had 3 big bags left. I only bought 6 initally. Took out the sweets with a good date and gave a big bag into work and added the stars which have 29/06 on them. Staff were delighted they will take the rest tomorrow :T
Hope your other half is feeling better soon ...
Scamps dog looks so cute bet he grows into a big softy0 -

£1.39?!
I would have had a heart attack!
:rotfl:
MY OH would buy a loaf for £1.39 and think its quite normal  I am banging my head off a brick wall trying to teach him. After we came back from hols he went out to get one item in Sainsburys and then came back with a bottle of coke for £1.98   And then could not understand why I was livid.
He mocks Oh we are not exactly poverty stricken then are we then
My reply to that is if that is the case I should be doing all of the shopping in Waitrose if money is no object“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
