Same here dipdap the bugs are getting to our strawberries, we only have sparrows and blue tits in our garden and they seem to leave them alone thankfully. But the slugs and woodlouse tuck in faster than we can stop them.

Not doing bad though just have to pick them just before they are totally ripe seems to help. :)

That's exactly what we do. The kids still eat them even though they're not deep red, they still smell really nice too :D
Slugs here aren't so much of a problem as a lot of our strawbs sit high off the ground, the slugs seem to get to the ones that have sprawled out and sit on the grass.
Just weighed todays haul and it's 550g :j
I think we've had between 2 and 3kg so far off our plants :j very :money: :j

    Morning TS :)
    Was thinking of you earlier.
Little un was standing on the edge of my sofa and doing a bum bounce off the cushions with legs straight out in front :rotfl:
It reminded me of something I'm sure I read you post last night while I was skim reading

I have no idea what I posted to have led you to think of me bum bouncing. :o  :rotfl:

    :rotfl: Perhaps it wasn't you!
Got me looking back now :rotfl:

Edit: I've got you mixed up with FC :rotfl: :o

    Oh that.
Truthfully.....because I'm the only one who can do a proper butt bounce. His expression, not mine. ;)
If you can't butt bounce without using your hands, you're not allowed on. His rules :D:rotfl:

In that case I was thinking of both of you, you could have been giving marks out of 10 :D

He is not too bad thanks, he is having his first day out today as vision is a bit off because of other eye

When I had my first eye done I couldn't wear my glasses (for the 'yet to be done' eye) because they messed up the vision in the 'done' eye IFYSWIM. I had a really cheap pair if frames made up with one lens plin glass and the other prescription glass. Got me over the hump. alternatively, could you get one lense taken out of his old glasses ?

:hello:I've just had an incredily non-MSE afternoon.
Has anyone actually managed to get the A Desiree Potatoes? They are showing signed in on msm for me, although without a picture, suggesting the product is available in my nearest main store. I went there first - they had just about every type of potatoes under the sun, and even under the rain and moon, there but no Desiree Potatoes. The second store managed to have an additional type of potato - Salad Potatoes, that somehow weren't stocked in the main store. No Desiree Potatoes:mad:. I've been to five Asdas:eek:, though to be fair that figure does include one supermarket that was only up the road or two;) - the supermarket had even less. None at two other stores either. I ended up in a traffic queue:mad::(:( and every traffic light on red through two separate places - well, I was bound to have a day spending petrol.

I'll end up having to get them from T:eek:_pale__pale_. Well, I've now checked my CC account and no extra points on any potatoes, so I'm not doing it! I'm having to revert to Sains. even if they are 18p per 2.5kg more (total 28p more expensive than if anywhere could have got Avs T). Yes I rather pay more than give anything to T:):wall:.

Are the Desirees on msm actually Desirees? If I find out that some other type of potatoes are appearing on the APG as Desirees....

If you can find the Desirees in A, and find them anywhere in England (or Wales), I am interested to know which store. Meantime, not only I am unable to spend APG amount that I wish but having to put £2 less in there and spend less and losing another item of the 8 and struggling to find any more that is any good. I am so reluctant to do any vs T shop without the Potatoes, or indeed any shopping at all:eek: as it's all way too expensive! So I just end up with vouchers that I can't use and we don't spend enough to use them anyway:(:rotfl:. Wombles are useless - I never buy anything enough, too much saving of money!! I did, yes I think, mention a loooonnngg time ago that I was a founder member of the Institute of Non-Buying in the mid 1980s:rotfl:. I just don't buy anything - "Savvy" buying seems to be not to buy at all quite often - and am just not easily persuaded or persuaded in any way at all to part with money by any commercial advertising:rotfl::T:T(:j:T:rotfl:).
