Absolutely - it depends entirely on whether they have competition or not. Sainsbugs even said as much to me when I complained that the petrol at one of their stores was always 1p a litre higher than the other Sains. about a mile away. That one, with the lower price, of course has more other stores near it. My Mr T out in the sticks is about 3p a litre more expensive than the one in the city centre nearer to the other supermarket petrol stations.

But... save 5p per litre at the mo. - for me - by using the Sains. petrol station as opposed to the Jet petrol station up the road. Not that I'd ever pay the Jet price - but, then again, petrol prices have come down a little and the 5p more expense was what we were (I was?) paying in the supermarket fuel stations about six months ago. I think Sains. petrol is supplied by BP anyway, so it's all the same!! (IMO.)
