Right ladies I'm after a hair product but I'm not sure what it is I need
Basically I want a product to tame my hair my hair is straight but it goes fluffy/bushy
I don't use heat appliances so nothing that needs used with heat
Nothing that will make my hair oily either, ive used serums and they don't work
I would prefer something that could be used on dry hair as well as wet as I find those for wet hair still leave my hair fluffy/bushy
Would prefer something I put on my hands and run through rather than a spray
So yeah, help please because I've got no idea lol

I think this would depend a bit on why your hair becomes fluffy.
Most of the time our hair frizzes because we've damaged it and normally that is done with heated appliances (hair dryers and so on). The only way you can really deal with that-without chopping it off, is to use serums or hair treatment oils, but to get the product to work it does require heat. Whilst you can tone down frizziness, you wont get it to totally go without any heat because either silicons or natural oils just wont work without it- otherwise they remain in a dense state. It's just how they work.
You could always try going with the frizz? Some frizz if it isn't too bad can be overridden by using things like rollers to curl your hair so it's easier to overlook the frizz, or you could try plaits or up-dos.
If your just talking about a few ends and spare strands, then your probably looking at a normal head of hair. The idea that no frizz should ever exist is not normal and we've become conditioned to expecting very sleek and uniform looking hair when actually a little frizz is normal.
If you want to try anything without heat you could try a deep conditioning mask. But it is only going to do so much and if you apply that sort of thing every day you're going to end up with heavy and lanky looking hair as it will have had too much products on it and then you'd have to do a deep cleansing wash and that would end up in drier hair and...frizz!
Only one last thought and that is to make sure you get a hair trim every 6-8 weeks to help prevent split ends forming and causing anything else to add to any frizz you may already have.0 -
It's not cause by heat as last July I had all my hair chopped off and I haven't used any heat since
Thanks for your reply0 -
Have you tried John Frieda's Frizz Ease? That can be applied to wet or dry hair.0

Hi OP,
I know you are anti-heat products, but get a pair of Cloud Nines (the guy who made GHD's before they got weird). Best thing I've bought, ever; My hair goes near water and I turn into Michael Jackson around 1973.
I can go out in rain and not look like I tumble dried my hair now - the only other thing that worked was chemical straightening - didn't work for long as I have wavy hair naturally and 2 months later it was back to normal.
You might want to try either Glad Hair Day from soap and Glory (often on 3 for 2 in boots), or some of the Argan Oil shampoos and conditioners (available in pound land) if you are dead set against it.
It is likely just that your hair is a bit wavy, so if you want it straight, use straighteners - I have tresemme heat defence and my hair is in pretty good nick, use it every day and I've never scorched or burned my hair yet.
Can I ask why you are so anti-straightener/heat products?0 -
L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil.
Like a serum but very light weight and non greasy. I have a lot of hair but it's quite fine and flyaway and gets greasy quickly. I do use straightening irons, but I've found this stuff is the most lightweight whilst still managing frizz from humidity etc.
It's about £10 a bottle, but it's a big bottle and expect it will last ages for the amount you need. I got it from Mr S on 33% off.Bossymoo

I have hair with the tendency to frizz and go bushy.
I have lost count of the products I have tried, some have helped, some failed spectacularly! I can only list what seems to help for me, but hair is very individual, so you may have to experiment a bit.
Use a shampoo/conditioner for frizzy hair. It needn't be expensive. My 2 favourites are Garnier Fructis sleek and shine, and Schwartzkopf Gliss range. For me worked miles better than John Frieda.
I do use serum, right now the Argan oil one, though I only apply a tiniest amount and I use it only on hair below my ears. After washing I comb my hair out with an extra wide tooth comb, apply tiny (literally pea sized amount) to my waist length hair. Once my hair is partially dry I wrap it up in a bun to continue drying, this seems to help smooth it out further and stop the frizz.
I have had my hair shorter, but found it just 'poofed out'!. I need the length and weight of my hair to keep the frizz to a minimum.
The Schwatzkopf Gliss shine spray also helps. No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!0 -

This description just made me cry with laughter!:rotfl:0 -
My hair has a touch of the 'Crystal Tipps' about it; made worse by the least bit of damp or humidity. However, has been fairly well under control for the past couple of years. Hair that is already well moisturised will be less affected by the damp and humidity, so I slap on a good hair mask at least once a week (L'Oreal Absolut Repair or Kerastase Chroma Riche). Other days like today I washed and conditioned as normal and then ran some mask just through the ends and left it for a few minutes.
My hairdresser also does a good job in taking a lot of the bulk and potential bushy triangle effect out with texturising the cut and thinning out.
The real key for me in managing the day to day is in making sure my hair is totally dried after washing; if I leave it the slightest bit damp it will spring its way upwards and outwards. I can't afford to be lazy with the drying; I dry, dry, dry and then dry it some more with a hot air brush.Mortgage

Body Shop Monoi Miracle Oil. It's a tenner but lasts months.
Frizz Ease Shampoo and Miraculaous Recovery Masque. I use the latter as a normal conditioner every time I wash my hair.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0
