Misco HELL - Make sure you got the right TV

Ordered what should have been a Hannspree E2 32" LCD TV. They promised next day delivery but actually turned out to be 4 day delivery. Promised refund for price difference between next day delivery and standard delivery charge. This meant I stayed in an extra day.

When it actually arrived, it was a Hannspree E1 (inferior model) TV. After arguing with me and saying I was wrong, I was informed that actually, I was right. They said I could either keep the TV (ermm, no, that's why I contacted you  ) or have it collected for a full refund.

The returns email they sent didn't include the initial delivery cost, so another email to them got in writing that I'd get a full refund.

Courier collected (third day waiting at home) and delivered back to Misco. They promised a refund as soon as it was delivered, this has not happened yet.

I have just emailed them to say they agree to a £40 per day charge for each day I have been kept waiting at home and that their silence will be interpreted as Misco's agreement to this term.

I wouldn't touch these charlatans with a bargepole if I were you

Misco are hopeless in my opinion.

I used them a couple of years ago to buy some telephones and they never turned up, despite having been sent recorded delivery. Instead of just sending them out again, I had to request a refund and then re-order.

I'd never use them again. The whole shebang took up too much time and their lines were always busy.

Finally after pressure from Trading Standards they have issued the following, though they're clearly trying to make people think the E1 is superior to the E2, this isn't the case:

I received the same email from Misco apologising that I was sent the wrong model. Odd thing though is that I didn't get the wrong model - I ordered the JT01-32E2 and that's what I received!

Ha! The newer version has poorer contrast and intensity!

I think Misco are crap too. I tried to order a flat screen monitor a few years back for my mum. The website even allowed you to enter different billing and delivery addresses (my mum is not technically minded enough to order something via the interent).

A day or so later they emailed and said they could not deliver, and when I rang them they said, "we can't deliver to a different address due to fraud". (How do other companies manage this? and why the bloody hell does your website allow this feature?)

    "ok cancel it then"

    Phone girl didn't like that!
