Most might do but Vanquis don't: They take it on the day it's due in my own experience anyway.
I'm not sure what the other guy's on about, the direct debit guarantee says that you can only have money taken out on the payment due date. I've only ever had direct debits take money on the due date. Maybe they pre-authorise it before that date.

Curious isn't it. I'm thinking you're a troll mainly because you post to disagree with me in almost every thread I post in.
Because you're constantly advising people to pay interest, and I'm having to tell each and every person to not do that.
Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.

That's me done in this thread. Way too much off-topic trolling.

I can assure you that for my Amex and Capital One cards, the Direct Debit is taken about 3-5 days earlier than the payment due date.

Generally, if the card is issued by the same bank as your current account will they take it on the day.
