Cambelt change on a 2000 VW Beetle advice please

Just a long shot ..Wife has her heart set on a 2000 plate VW Beetle she has seen.
It has around 60k on the clock and good history but the owner suggests doing the cambelt.
Before we commit, can anyone advise on the likely cost involved and degree of difficulty of changing a cambelt on one of these.
I understand some belts are easier to change than others on different cars and on some should even change the waterpump too in the process?
Oh, 2.0l petrol engine if that helps

Anyone with any experience of these that can advise please.
