My vote is for the Vauxhall zafira, my parents brought one earlier this year mainly as my little brother (15) is 6 foot already!! and he and his archery gear can fit very easily in the back. My mum has athritis in her hip and knees and finds the driving position very good and roomy for this.
This is the first car all of the family can fit into (theres 5 of us) and were not small people!!!!Thanks to money saving tips and debt repayments/becoming debt free I have been able to work and travel for the last 4 years visiting 12 countries and working within 3 of them. Currently living and working in Canada  :dance:0 -

It's a running joke on here. Whenever suggestions are sought, the Mondeo pops up.Je suis sabot...0 -
Well, I have got similar question.
Just passed my driving test (at 34 years old) and I am looking for a small car to get me to and from work, going to the shops. I will have to use motorway - 100miles per week. Also, I am looking for something cheap to insure as I am new driver.
I think, Renault clio would be good.
Any other suggestions?:)0 -
Large car with low insurance group? Check out the small engined Skoda Roomster and Citroen Berlingo.0

As someone who is 6"2, 19 stone and rugby player build, I'm surprised a 3 series BMW is on your list, once i got the seat set up for me to drive one the seat behind my was almost pointless. A human would need legs like sheets of paper to sit in it. I would go as far as saying there is more room in my 2008 Honda Civic for 5 passengers than the 3 series BMW.
Of the cars you listed, I'd be looking Mondeo or Passat.
With the Golf, again it surprises me on rear leg room and if you are looking at that I'd suggest the Civic, which also has a bigger boot.0 -
Thanks again for the replies. I have tried some mondeos and passats and I definitely think it will 1 of the 2 for me
and ye bmw backseat was abit tight. Maybe it was just the badge swaying me lol
Anyway thanks all for the advice0 -

As already suggested, if you like the Passat, try a Skoda Superb. Bigger inside.0 -
