Me again...
Something I forgot to mention which made me laugh
So recently, I managed to repay the last £20 or so that I owed to Very which had been sold on to NCO ARROW.
Is it any coincidence that about a week later I get 2 letters, one from Very and another from Littlewoods inviting me to apply for an account and offering me £15 off my first order of £25 or more?
Obviously it had the statement about being subject to status and so on but c'mon... Really?
Well it made me laugh anyway

Not odd at all MB, vanquis are DESPERATE to give me money, daily emails from them and their friendly counterpart Luma. As for ice cream at silly o'clock? Make it espresso infused and I'm there!
Somehow I don't think the others will be as keen when they're paid
Payday today and only once have I ever seen more money in a bank account that's "mine" (i.e. not borrowed) and that was an insurance payout. Not about to get giddy with it. I have some boots no7 vouchers so treating myself to a nail varnish. I've taken to giving myself a sub-£5 treat each month, feels the same as a pre-LBM spree but none of the guilt afterMay scrabble around the ashtray of the car for an extra £1 so I can have TWO
My DMP is over 6 years and that's a long time to cut back to the bones. My budget is comfortable but I don't want to fall into the trap of feeling bored/deprived and falling off the wagon so a small luxury each month keeps that at bay.
I'm off to stare lovingly at my bank balance and reducing debt now until the children surface (yesterday 5 year old had to be woken at 12.15!)
Have a great day everyone

ETA debt has dropped further than expected! My work give us free shares as part of our rewards package. Anyhow, something has gone askew and this year's dividend (a colossal £23) has been paid into my old HSBC account. I wasn't expecting it so I won't miss it. Result being I've paid a bit more off

I don't think it's the heat stopping you sleeping HHI think I'd be struggling to sleep through excitement if my DFD was that close!
I think we should have a goodbye to debt party planned for you on the thread - I have an ancient can of cider in a cupboard I don't mind sharing around(I also have a bottle of champagne in the loft we were given when we got married but I'm saving that for my DFD as DH and I will both be debt free then
)

SC Payment Day! Looks like they have finally sorted the payment to Sainsbury's Credit Card and have sent 3 months worth at once. Annoyed because it took multiple calls to them to sort, they were adamant they could only pay Sainsbury's to either BOS or Blare Oliver & Scott who were accepting the payment and doing nothing with them.
Sainsbury's were great to deal with though and they kept freezing the account after the 30 days hold ran out. But it took me to quote the account number and sort code Sainsbury's wanted to StepChange before they would alter it. I asked them to search for that account on their system. Their response, "Oh you are correct, that comes back as Bank of Scotland - Sainsbury's Credit Card" That will be the right one then.
Anyway all sorted and won't get my monthly request to ring Sainsbury's Urgently.
Sig updated, fast approaching 10% Paid :T
Last day before 2 weeks holiday though. Quite an :money: break though, day trips to theme parks on the Tesco Vouchers and a trip to Scotland staying at relatives and a couple of travel lodges we booked many moons ago at super saver rates. Loch Ness and Highland me up baby :beer:0 -

Having a down day today. I keep getting an overwhelming feeling of panic about our finances. We are sending off the paperwork to stepchange on Monday so not even started yet.
August is the first month ever we will miss our payments. I'm ok about that as I knew it was coming.
For some reason though I'm constantly adding up the pence in my head today for the month. I'm taking a drop in income this month which is why we're going down this route.
I keep holding back the tears feel so anxious. I'm 8 weeks pregnant so I know my hormones are all over the place.
I just needed to share with people who might understand.Making £1,000 plus every month from home :T0
