Hi All..
I read it differently to you.. yes the payment goes early but the updates/statement is still the end of the month... could be wrong but that's what I read it to mean... won't stop me looking mind...!

Just getting the replies through after leaving Stepchange and going self managed. All seem OK apart from my smallest debt. Some sh1ttie little card that changed hands about 4 times and they are happy to carry on with 12.6% interest.
Nah I don't think so. Sent the same letter that went to Barclaycard informing them its £1 until they default me.
If they get @rsey about that will probably CCA them because it changed hands so many times I bet some paperwork is missing down the line.
Loving the Self managed freedom though, SC is just too black and white.0 -

I have been looking on my actual creditor accounts. The Lloyds overdraft seems to be paid via Faster Payments so that is normally the earliest indicator for me. Nothing there yet though so I don't think Stepchange have made payments yet...
Like you, I don't think the Stepchange statement on their website will update until end of the month.
cheers

Hi Puzz
I'm not expecting my SC statement to change until end of the month, but if SC have paid creditors at the beginning of the month (5 days after collecting my DD on 1st) then I would expect my creditor accounts to show a reduction sometime around 8th - 12th of each month (allowing time for creditors to split out SC's bulk payment to each of them across all relevant DMP accounts).
I'll keep fanatically logging in and checking each creditor account. It's good exercise (for my fingers;))DFW Nerd No. 1484 LBM 07/01/15 Debt was £95k  Now debt free and happy :j0 -

I get you... I only have one online creditor left, all the others cancelled my online access when I started the dmp.. I have been on and peeked and no, no change to the balance...

Good point - which I hadn't factored in:o You are right and Easter with 2 bank holidays would have affected the timescales in which creditors would have received/updated accounts.
I'll still keep checking though;)DFW Nerd No. 1484 LBM 07/01/15 Debt was £95k  Now debt free and happy :j0 -

Think I updated my signature too soon!!.....1st SC payment on 1st April, one of my NW accounts is showing payment but none of the other 8. I also had a letter from Cap1 today saying although they know I am with SC they have not received payment and their lack of correspondence is unacceptable! Said that if they don't hear anything in the next 5 days they will assume SC are no longer acting on my behalf and will contact me directly regarding arrears.LBM: 18th January 2015:idea:
