Never cut the papillon stoechas type into old wood, as they won't regrow. If there aren't shoots below where you want to cut, then don't. However, they do take cuttings, so you can rejuvenate a plant that way.
Well worth giving them a light trim immediately after flowering, and regularly keeping them in trim.0 -
Many thanks, I've never tried taking cuttings (of anything!) so will try this, it's quite pretty but I prefer the Munstead and Hidcote varieties, I won't get the 'fluffy' type again!0
