PPI claim advice

Hi, I have just joined this site/forum. I am wanting to start some claims for PPI, I've just applied for my credit report as I thought this may help me to remember what I've had in the past and with who. I don't have all the paperwork going that far back. What are my chances? Also because I've had several different surnames, should I just list all these on the claim and hope they'll pick me up from one?? Feeling out of my depth with this but would be nice to get some cash back! Thanks in advance.
