Senior cat - stiff shoulder - is a Glucosamine supplment a good idea?

Good morning to fellow forum members! Our cat, who is now 13-14yrs old, seems to have a stiff shoulder and has had this for a while. The vet said some pain relief might be in order when the winter sets in. I've thought about Glucosamine supplment - just wondered if anyone had any experiences that they would like to share - good or bad. I also wonder how easy would it be to mix with food - whilst our cat is not overly fussy, detecting something strange in her food would surely put her off.

Our cat very briefly had glucosamine before we had to have him PTS. You can get a pet version which is meaty and feed it like a treat. Sorry I can't remember what it's called but your vet might know. Our vet was giving it to his own cats

I've not got any experience of giving it to a cat, but I do know dogs who have benefited from taking Yumove by Lintbells. They do a cat version too.

You can start supplements, but if she is that sore then I wouldn't wait to start her pain relief.

Raw Chicken wings have natural glucosamine and chondroitin in.
