PPI Reclaim Again

Hi I was after some advice regarding PPI reclaim.

In January 2014 I wrote to all the credit card and loan providers I had ever had credit with. This was over 13 (the majority being balance transfers) but I did have a significant credits card with egg, store cards with Arcadia and a hire purchase agreement. Most were taken out in the early 2000s and some I had very little detail about.

Every company came back to me and said I had never taken out PPI on any of the products and that PPI had also never been included. I took this as being the case. I now feel rather skeptical as quite a few friends had the same credit and loans with the same providers at the same time as me and have all been offered compensation.

Two of them used a reclaim company. So my questions are: is there anything further I can do/should do or if they have confirmed I did not have PPI on my products? Should I instruct a reclaim company to follow this up as they seem to have had more success with claiming compensation?

To make sure, you send a SAR and £10 to each company.
This will not give you every detail of every product you had if they have destroed records, you'll only get back what they have left.

CMCs have no special powers beyond doing exactly what you would do if you complained. They also can't magic PPI into existence. Neither can anyone else.
