Natwest Credit management

I have been offered an amount back from Natwest and sent my acceptance letter back to them which they received on 4th June, I started my claim in March, I've now been told that hopefully I will get my cheque by the beginning of August, now I'm really fed up, they've got their share of my charges to pay off the overdraft but I would like mine. I know there was someone on here who was in the same situation and rang the complaints dept but I don't know which number to ring, tried the FO but they couldn't help, would appreciate some advice.
Paid off so far Natwest overdraft £1900 Kays catalogue £200 Personal Loan £2500 Tax Credit £1300 J D Williams

Can you explain a bit more. If the account is with Credit Management Services, which i think it is from the title. I think there is a set timescale with regards to getting the account closed. If you have dealt with CMS in telford, then give them a buzz to ask what their procedures are for clearing the account and closing it. It maybe the case that the account has to be inactive for a period of time prior to closing but as i said please check that timescale.0

Hi
I had my account held by credit services at natwest I had my charges paid into the account. I was told I had to wait 10 working days after my money had been paid in and for the remaining amount to be paid to me, as they could not release the money until my account had been inactive for 10 working days (Its been frozen for two years ) then it would take around 4 weeks after that to send out the cheque. I was pulling my hair out with them. anyway on Tuesday I rang the 0800 015 4212 but instead of pressing one for complaits regarding charges I pressed two. I put in a complaint regarding credit management services and told them how despret I was for the money and that I owed debt collects ( I don't but they do not know this ) I told them I am already considering a complaint with the FO regarding the way I had been treated by them. The lady was great she told me she would e-mail the manager my complaint. I rang credit services on the thursday and a very snotty lady told me I would have to wait I told her I had made a offical complaint and I was told to ring if I had not heard anything in a couple of day which was why I was ring . She went off to speak to someone and then came back and told my my cheque would be posted out by friday ( yer right I thought ) Post man can saturday and oh my god I have got my cheque. today I have received a letter thanking me for raising my concern and that she hoped this matter was now settled. ( oh yes it is ha ha )
Anyway sorry to go on but I hope this help and goodluck0 -
Here's my experience of CMS. I had an offer of £1175 from Nat West but my account is suspended and I am in debt management. They refused to issue a check but said accept the offer then ask CMS for a check when it was credited to my account. I spoke to CMS before I accepted the offer and they said they would 100% give me a check and I even took the guys name that I spoke to w
Well guess what. CMS have back tracked and won't give me a check now, they say it is because I have no priority debts. Actually I do have an outstanding water bill for £1000 so I will try and do the same as the post above and complain again. My feeling is they are perfectly abel to issue a check but you need to hassle them. Also you can get some pretty unhelpful call center staff.0 -

Any cheque that they issue may well be written out directly to the company themselves ie the priority creditor(water). There is absolutely no reason as to why they have to issue a cheque to you personally if there is an amount outstanding.0 -
That makes sense but how come the person before me a cheque paid to them?
Also I have a few other priority debts that add up to more than they owe me. Does that mean they decide proportionally who to pay what to on my behalf?0 -

On the first question, the date of the thread is prior to the OFT test case.
If the account is with CMS, is it therefore unusable?
DO you have another account and are you contacting them with regards to financial hardship?0 -
Dear All,
I need some guidance and help from the experts about the Natwest CMS cheque. I used to live in London and in 2008 I left UK. Now when I visited London in 2012 and went to my old house, the current owner handed me my old mails and when I opened the letter I got this Natwest CMS letter and a cheque but its dated 2008. Can anyone please let me know if I can still get the money or I need to talk to the bank and get a fresh cheque or there is some validity to claim it? It's been 4 years and now I really dont know how to approach this?
Please guide.0 -
Cheque has expired. Write to them, enclose cheque, explain circumstances and ask for a replacement cheque.0

Can anyone please let me know how can I contact CMS services, is there any email address I can get to write to them about my case.0
