Do you mean a Prudence Bond from the Prudential?

    http://www.pru.co.uk/existing_customers/products/prudence_bond/

Or some kind of fixed term savings from(eg) a Building Society?

If it is the Prudence Bond, which xylophone has kindly put a link to, then near bottom of that page, under 'Review your Prudence Bond', there is a telephone number to call regarding making Withdrawals and finding out more about the Bond (such as if there will be withdrawal charges). If you make a call, you'll probably get the answers you need.
