help iv been waiting since nov for my pip i had an assesment on mon a letter came today saying it was in audit what does this mean help x

    Because this is a new benefit, the companies doing the assessments are being very careful to try and make sure that everything is done as it should be. Many reports are being held back so that they can be examined to make sure they are up to standard and this can take a considerable amount of time.

    Due, in part, to the failings demonstrated by both ATOS and Capita, every assessment is having to be independently audited, after the medical examination, so, there is a huge backlog, at the moment. :wall:

    Claimants that should have been applying for PIP by now, are being held on DLA.

    However, some good news is that, within a paper released 27th May, the government want to reduce face-to-face assessments, and get more done by paper assessments (as with DLA) where there is plenty of claimant supplied evidence, and where the condition is proven, and unlikely to improve.

    Common sense may be starting to arrive here......:whistle:

    This, hopefully, will start to improve the appalling current state of play, and, after all the money spent/stress caused, take us back to where it began, with a claimsnt's own medics supplying the info..... :doh:

    I have also had this min gone apparently everyone has this now it's making sure claims are being done correctly but looking on here some people still haven't heard anything for months after. Have you had anything back yet ?
