Do you mean take your name off the insurance, or your name of the registration document?

If its insurance, you just need to tell your insurer. Although you may consider a two car policy that many companies offer, rather than seperate policies for each of you.

If its the registration document, you need to fill it in with his details and send it to DVLA, instructions are on the document itself.

You will need to ensure that there is a current insurance policy valid whoever is the owner/registered keeper, to avoid any problems with using it on the road.

You may find insurance is cheaper if you are both on bother policies.

Mine dropped about £100 with us both on it.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

I would agree to see about keeping both of you insured on both cars, as well as the potential reduced cost, it's more convenient.

If you change the registered keeper it will add another former keeper so I would keep both cars in your name. It makes no difference, just change it when you replace the car.

Also it would be more convenient if you are both insured as 2nd driver on each others cares. It may bring your Hubby's premium down and if either had a breakdown just when needing to go to an important meeting the other car could serve as backup!
