You may have missed the post last year in this thread where both Roger and myself pointed out that the national launch was put back, and that from 28th October 2013, the DWP started to invite DLA claimants living in Wales, East Midlands, West Midlands and East Anglia to claim PIP if:
- DWP received information about a change in care or mobility needs and the claimant’s fixed term award was due to expire
- children turned 16 years old (unless they have been awarded DLA under the Special Rules for Terminally Ill people) or;
- the claimant could choose to claim PIP instead of their DLA.
As it currently still stands DLA recipients will start to be invited to claim PIP [unless they knock it back again] from October 2015.

this just makes scary reading.
Oversimple for our government but surely they just need to 'pull their finger out' and employ more people to do the claims.
such a long scary wait for people0 -
When indefinite awards are selected for migration, will DLA continue to be paid until a PIP award is made or turned down?0
-
Yes, in the case of 'indefinite awards' (whenever they get around to doing it, as the timescales seem to be falling away), you will remain on whatever your current rate of DLA is, both components, until a decision has been made.
For current, indefinite DLA recipients, the delays themselves won't be the issue they are now, with new claimants and reviews waiting for money they need.

Yes. But you have to send the forms in within the time limit. Your DLA will stop if you don't.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Well, yes, you do have to send back the forms, on time, as you would have to, for a normal review of DLA anyway.
