Staywarm not listed in the cheap energy club plans list

I was going to register for Martin's cheap energy club but when attempting to enter the type of energy plan I was unable to as the plan is Staywarm and that isn't listed.

Can anyone advise which plan type I should select please?

Staywarm is a fixed payment not connected directly to usage (although previous consumptions would influence the charge made) the comparison sites are not able to compare it sensibly.

You have to find out your annual consumption, make a guess at what your new consumption will be (bearing in mind you no longer have an all you can eat buffet) and then see what prices current tariffs are for that likely consumption.

Use a comparison site such as energyhelpline or uswitch and choose a current Eon tariff at random - then just ignore the 'savings' amount - the results page results will still be in order of price.

Just a quick tip about your usage whilst on Staywarm.

Although you used to pay a set monthly amount regardless of how much energy you used, we still recorded meter readings. We'll be happy to let you know how much energy you used over the past 12 months.

As nada666 says, you can pop this on to the comparison sites to give you a better idea of your options going forward.

You might also be eligible for Warm Home Discount. The payment for 2014/15 is £140 and applications for the Broader Group are being taken now.

Although if you're in the Core Group, you won't need to apply as you'll automatically qualify. In this case, the Department for Work and Pensions will write directly to you.
