Hi All

I'm looking to pick up a Honda Civic, 2007-8, preferably less than 80k miles, FDSH, 1.8 Petrol or 2.2 Diesel.

Was thinking of auctions and wondered if anyone had any idea of any sold prices for these or anywhere else good to look for a decent one at a good price!

Also does anyone know of any online car auctions for private buyers?

Thanks for reading

Why does it have to be auction? Do you know what you're doing at auction? Have you got a budget?

I doubt you'll get any recommendations on here to buy at auction if you are a private buyer with no experience.

Depends on your local auction. Whats the buyers premium + indemnity charges etc?

Can add a lot to the bid price.

Auctions rarely seem to be the bargain they once were.

Either you buy a pup and have no buyer protection or the actual prices are no cheaper than you could negotiate from a dealer as there are often many private buyers at auctions these days and in the excitement, they drive the prices up. Plus then you have auction fees and other expenses at the end.

should be plenty around on auto-trader at not too bad prices.

I picked up a 58 2.2 diesel EX last jan for £6k, with 100k on the clock...
