Edwin Mutton at the IPM -- now retired

Just had to report a company for none delivery of prize

Usually I conact Edwin Mutton - but just had the following auto-response

Edwin is retiring from the IPM with immediate effect. Your email will be forwarded to the appropriate IPM department for action.

He extends his thanks and best wishes to all who have helped, supported and encouraged him during his 30 years in the industry.

Amazing what sending an email to the company and the IPM can do
this is after waiting 65 days for a prize to arrive
I’m sorry for this. I’m also sorry you felt you need to contact the IPM. I can understand why you would have done so if you could not reach anyone regarding the competition, but I would hope I have always been responsive and as informative as possible. In my last email I mentioned you could contact me and I would do all I could to help.

None-the-less, you will be pleased to know that the prizes are being dispatched today.

    Regards,

Shame but hope he enjoys retirement, he was always helpful even if something ended up as an ASA complaint.

(Might be my imagination but I am sure more of the IPM website is now "members only" than it was a few months ago)

Yes I had a very similar experience; every single email from me totally ignored, then they hit the roof upon hearing from the IPM but did (finally) send out the prize.

Hope he didn't have to retire "with immediate effect" for any health issues or anything :( He was always very helpful to us compers...

Yesterday I was at comping day meeting that was in Leeds something they do every year, the guest speaker was Mr Edwin mutton

As I have been doing competitions for 29 years, it was nice to see what he looked like.

He said he hoped that compers would still get results about prizes that hadn't turn up.

But he said he always went above and beyond his duty to get right result for people.

    Didn't mention why he retire
