That's fantastic news! You should treat yourself...just because
I bet it makes you feel incredibly positive too! Does the walker choose the path or the path the walker?

Up to yesterday I believed that I had ovarian cancer with possible secondaries in the pelvis. This had come to light following surgery in April and so I have had all the tests such as bloods, MRI, cat scan etc.
My results had been forwarded to St Thomas Hospital and I had psyched myself up to ring at 3pm to check whether they were back and to arrange an appointment etc. During the last eight weeks I have been working out everything such as trying to leave everything in order for my sons and possible adoption of my rescue dog, Max. Just everything. I had cracked jokes about running out of hair dye and all the black humour comments I could find.....
Yesterday, I was telephoned to say that I haven't got ovarian cancer at all but that my spleen is in my pelvis! Apparently 1:1000 people are like me.
I was so stunned that I couldn't think of anything to say. It still hasn't settled in yet.
Max is delighted!
Congrats on the good news.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.

Fantastic news. What an amazing relief for you and your loved ones.
I went through very similar last year - tumour on my ovary.
While waiting for my op date I arranged for all the bills to be paid automatically, insurances and bank accounts in joint names and so on.....
I had my ovaries removed and 2 weeks later was told that the tumour was not cancer. For about a week I was on an amazing high and then I slept for days - completely exhausted. It took me a while to get back to 'normal'.
My husband couldn't understand the 'down' and expected me to be happy and remain on a high for ever.
I'm really delighted with your news.

Really something to celebrate.
How wonderful life is...and how little we appreciate it. Just the sheer unadulterated joy of being here, seeing our kids, having a dog, planning the future.
Even on a bad day, it's worth living for.0 -

The relief you are feeling now must be so immense. I have lost people to cancer and it is a horrific disease. I think most of us have known people affected by it, so when you think you may have it yourself that must be a terrifying ordeal to go through.
OP you must have been under so much strain and worry in recent weeks, it is not surprising that this news will take some time to settle in. Take care of yourself and look forward to enjoying the rest of your life. The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0 -
I have to go to see the consultant on Tuesday to consider what is best- removal or not. They want my permission to run a study on me too! I cant quite fathom why this hasn't been picked up befor- very odd!
Now all I need is the health fairy to say that I can lose 10lbs without any effort.........!
spleens don't weigh 10 lbs - but every little helps... ;-)
Enjoy! The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
that's brilliant! so pleased for you.0

What an awful scare and how wonderful that it's not cancer. Don't worry if you aren't reacting how people expect as they weren't the ones who thought they were seriously ill. Give yourself permission to feel however you feel, it's not wrong, and hopefully you will feel elated soon.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0

Wonderful!. . .I did not speak out
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me..
