Can you claim bank loans
                    Hello
I believe I was mis-sold a personal loan from one of the major banks back in 2005.
The loan now has been paid-off.
But I believe I have a strong case as I was not in full-time employment at the time
Therefore can I claim for this in the same way as people have been claiming for PPI? Are their template letters for this.
Any advise would be much appreciated

I don't see why not.....you can claim back the late payment fees if you incurred them.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

But you applied for the loan, yes?
You knew your own employment situation, yes?
You have paid back the loan, yes?
Did you default or pay late?
Why do you think it was mis sold?0 -
There is no law or regulation that says you have to be employed full time to get a loan.
Case dismissed.

Jog on, son!"Facism arrives as your friend. Oh goody. I took out a personal loan when I was a student and working part time. I think I was mis-sold too. £££ Kerching £££.
Oh no wait, I approached the lender for the loan, I met the criteria for getting the loan and I repaid the loan in full and on time.
It's wishful thinking that you are due a penny back from the lender. If you took out PPI when you took out the loan then you might be able to claim some money back.0 -

And its been 9 years since the loan was settled and NOW you want to "claim" for something....

The supply of "chancers" seems to be never ending..I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -

No I was approached by an IT training company and they advised on getting a loan from Barclays which they administered in order to do the course
I wasn't asked about my employment status at the time
Then after 1 year the company went into administration and then Barclays suddenly called in the loan eventhough I wasn't due originally to pay the loan back until after 2 years when the loan was then due to be started to payback after the course was due to finish.
I originally was just starting to pay the interest only for about 8-9 months as the cost of the loan started to mount up. Barclays did not give me any other options apart to start paying loan back asap.
I was given no other option to pay to do this course other than take out a loan which the IT training company advised was the only way to pay and they arranged the loan.
Hope that helps0 -
I don't think you have a case at all. You could try claiming it back from the IT company, but as it is in administration....:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
