Paypal issue - credit rating

Hi guys this question is two fold really as unsure what to do about 1st part and whether the issue could affect my rating.
Only just opened up a paypal account as wanted to sell something online and buyer wanted to use paypal.
All went smoothly until the other day when I checked my account and there was another name showing on the account at the address..........an ex of mine seemingly had opened an account way back in 2008 using my address! For one this seems rather dodgy so I rang paypal and got them to remove it immediately but more worrying could this idiot affect my credit rating and if so how could I find out?
Any help/advice much appreciated

Should not have any effect. Would be wise to check your credit reports to make sure they hadn't done anything similar on actual credit accounts that could be reported though, but even then if not in your name it should not link to you.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
