Anybody tried this? I've just ordered some samples
To try
Would feed in conjunction with kibble as it seems pricey

You're paying a lot for the dehydration.
That said. Once rehydrated it'll be a good quality wet food so if the price is good for you it's worth a go. Might send of for a few samples myself.Sigless0 -
At the moment I mix a desert spoonful of wainrights
Wet into kibble0 -
I'd say wainwright is better. Higher meat content and less fillers. Pure doesn't say the percentage of potato but given it's the third listed ingredient and there's only around 45% meat I'd say its a fair chance it's about 30-40%.
Wainwrights around 5-10% brown rice.
Personally. I'd stick to the wainwrights. Higher meat content. Less fillers (you can get a brain free version too) and much cheaper.
Unless your dog is having issues on it is not bother paying more for a food that isn't as high in meat but is higher in fillers.Sigless0 -
No , no problems with it
Ones Simpsons grain free and ones burns alert
But as with a lot of kibble they eat it
Much better with a bit of wet
But I hav noticed poo is sloppier0 -
Burns alert says 'great for working or assistance dogs' not exclusively for those dogs.
Plenty of people feed working dog food to pet dogs. It's just dog food with no vat. Lots of people use skinners duck/salmon and rice. Both 'working' dog foods.
I don't rate burns personally. I know it contains no nasty ingredients but it's 67% rice and only 20% meat. That is a lot of filler, plus it contains oats, yet more filler. But I realise different dogs do well on different foods.
Big fan of Simpsons. Before I switched my two to raw one had really bad stomach issues. Simpsons was the only dry food that didn't cause issue.Sigless0 -
Was recommended the burns for an overweight collie as have known a few lose weight on it
So far he's losing weight on it, as soon as he's a reasonable weight I shall switch him to Simpsons grain free too0 -
Just wanted to add. I got a few samples of this from a shop I spotted it in.
Added the recommended water. Let it rehydrate.
I'm not sure what I was expecting but it was just like mush. I know it says there's 45% meat but I couldn't see any at all. It looked like a veg soup.
I had the veg one in one bowl and the chicken delicious in another and they looked identical.
The dog ate it, but he'll eat anything.Sigless0 -
I've used a few of my samples now and yes I'd agree with rev
They just look like baby food
Dogs love it mind0 -
So I'm torn tbh. Ingredients look good and the dogs will eat anything. But I felt like I was feeding him soup.
I added raw meat to the veg one so that looked fine but the chicken one just looked like a bowl of soup.
Not sure if I should buy a bigger bag or not now.Sigless0
