So one faulty microwave makes all Panasonic products rubbish, I don't think so.:p
Look through the comments and it's clear that many people are talking about items that are several years old. Indeed, I'm also very happy with my circa 5 year old Panasonic TV.

However, things change and the Japanese electronics industry has been struggling for various reasons. Panasonic has been restructuring and cutting costs to get back to making a profit, so it's hardly unrealistic to expect that the products may no longer be of the same quality they once were.

I have had a lot of Panasonic stuff over the years and it used to be much better than of late. Not as well made and doesn't last as long. Just my opinion

We have a Panasonic tv over 5 years old, microwave, the same and a camera almost as old and all excellent.

I did have a microwave that was faulty, but the time taken to replace it was the fault of Apollo and not Panasonic, who , after a complaint, delivered next day.

The last vacuum only lasted for two years, but that was because one of the dogs weed on it, causing rust (the motor was fine).

They do, however, make some inferior items so supermarkets can sell them cheaper. You can spot these as the model numbers are not widely available . I notice, on the Panasonic website, that a few tvs are available at PC World and Currys only, so wonder if these are 'downgrades'.

"Exclusive" models will tend to have only cosmetic adjustments compared to their mass-market equivalents. It enables PC World and Currys to avoid price comparisons and keeps retail prices higher.
We've got 2 Panasonic plasmas dating from 2006 - still going strong with no problems at all ( other than claw marks from our psychotic dog ).

Sorry to hear some of you have had bad experiences with Panasonic products - I'm sure it's not typical.
I had an old Palmcorder VHSC recorder - remember them !! It served me well for many years and is still in good working order although I don't use it now that VHS tapes are a thing of the past.
I've recently bought a Panasonic TV, Blue Ray recorder and CD player and all are working fine with no issues at all. The quality of picture on my TV in particular is one of the best I've ever seen. When playing music CD's on my player I'm hearing instruments that I never heard before on my old Technics HiFi, and the quality of vocals is outstanding.
The only problem I've had with a Panasonic product was my microwave which is currently is back with them for repair after a fault developed nine months after purchase. But despite this, I'm still a fan of that brand. No matter how reliable a product brand is you'll always get the odd rogue one.

Have you tried writing to Panasonic with your complaints ?
